WilMAP FAQ
Wilton Manors & vicinity, for locals and visitors.
What is WilMAP?
WilMAP by Wilton Edge is an interactive business and event directory for Wilton Manors, Florida, and vicinity. It connects local residents and visitors with places to eat, stay, shop, explore, and find services.
Who is WilMAP for?
WilMAP serves local residents, visitors, Gaycationers, and businesses. Local highlights businesses flagged for residents; Gaycationer highlights eligible visitor-focused businesses; Business (B2B) focuses on business-to-business services and coverage.
Which map modes are available?
WilMAP offers six map modes: Local, Gaycationer, Business (B2B), Events, Deals, and Service Area. One map mode is selected at a time. Events lists dated events, Deals lists activations categorized as deals, and Service Area highlights businesses serving a coverage area rather than a storefront.
Which business categories does WilMAP cover?
Categories include Accommodations, Arts & Theater, Automotive, Bars & Nightclubs, Business Alliances, Financial, Health & Wellness, Home & Garden, Legal, Media, Non-Profits, Personal Services, Pets, Real Estate, Recreation, Restaurants & Cafes, Shopping, and Transportation. Available categories follow the current directory and may change.
What does Gaycationer include?
Gaycationer is a visitor-focused mode for eligible businesses in Accommodations, Arts & Theater, Bars & Nightclubs, Recreation, Restaurants & Cafes, Shopping, and Transportation. Businesses must also be flagged for Gaycationer. All eligible categories are selected initially and can be narrowed down.
Where does WilMAP provide coverage?
WilMAP focuses on Wilton Manors and surrounding South Florida communities. Some listings are outside Wilton Manors, including Fort Lauderdale. Service-area businesses may cover Broward County or another area stated on their listing; a listing does not imply that a business is on Wilton Drive.
How are event organizers and locations shown?
Events are listed chronologically with their title, host location, date, and local AM/PM time. The Hosted by line identifies the organizing business. An organizer may be searchable without a physical map pin; the event location is separate from the organizer.
Why do some businesses have no map pin?
Service-area businesses do not have a storefront pin. Business (B2B) mode also uses coverage presentation rather than individual pins. Organizer-only listings stay searchable without a pin, directions, or a service-area polygon.
Are listing details guaranteed to be current?
No. Map markers are approximate, and business and event information can change. Confirm addresses, hours, availability, prices, and event details directly with the business or organizer before visiting. Listings do not imply endorsement or affiliation.
